You’re Not Lazy. You’re Underfunded.

(Your Body Has a Staffing Problem)

Ever feel like your body just isn’t cooperating lately?

Like you’re doing your best…
and your neck, back, shoulder, or hip is just not keeping up?

Before we assume you’re weak, aging, or “not trying hard enough,” let me offer you something else:

You might not be broken.

You might be under-resourced.

Your Body Runs on Limited Resources

Inside your body are trillions of cells.

Each one requires energy to function.
Energy to think.
Energy to digest.
Energy to regulate stress.
Energy to repair tissue.
Energy to clear inflammation.

That energy isn’t unlimited.

Every day, your nervous system assigns jobs.

And when life is busy — emotionally, physically, mentally — most of the “staff” gets diverted to keeping you functional.

Lights on.
Heart beating.
Bills paid.
Kids managed.
Emails answered.

Repair becomes secondary.

Not abandoned.

Just postponed.

It’s a Staffing Problem

Imagine your body as a house that constantly needs maintenance.

There are only so many workers available.

If most of them are busy holding up the walls and keeping the plumbing running…

There aren’t many left to remodel the bathroom.

That shoulder that won’t fully resolve?
That back that flares every few weeks?
That neck that tightens and makes you panic?

It may not be failing.

It may be understaffed.

When we support the system — through rest, nourishment, circulation, gentle therapy — it’s like dropping off a busload of workers.

Suddenly, projects resume.

Not because you forced it.
Because there were finally enough hands.

Low Battery Mode Is Protective

When your resources are low, your system prioritizes survival.

It dims non-essential processes.

Healing slows.

Recovery takes longer.

Pain can feel louder.

That doesn’t mean damage is increasing.

It means the staffing is thin.

And thin staffing changes how things feel.

Three Small Ways to Add Resources Back

You don’t need a life overhaul.

You need small deposits.

1️⃣ Lower Demand

Cancel one non-essential obligation.
Lie down for 10 minutes.
Close your eyes.

Lowering demand frees up workers.

2️⃣ Improve Circulation

A short walk.
Gentle stretching.
Even a quick shake-out.

Movement improves resource delivery.

3️⃣ Fuel and Flush

Water. Electrolytes. Real food.
An Epsom salt bath.
A warm shower.

Your body clears byproducts before it rebuilds.

If the cleanup crew is overwhelmed, remodeling stalls.

If everything feels harder lately, ask:

Am I broken?

Or am I under-resourced?

Most of the time, it’s the second one.

And resources can change.
